Mrs. Mary Ellen Cartwright, age 82, a homemaker of South Hill, died Monday, July 12, 2010 in Community Memorial Healthcenter. She is survived by her husband Frederick W. Cartwright; three daughters “Lori” Patterson of Durham, NC, Cindy Clark and Ellen Wasson both of Palmer Springs, a son Frederick W. Cartwright, Jr. of South Hill; two sisters Helen Bell of Hicksville, Ohio and Pauline Geisleman of Columbia City, Indiana; two brothers “Sonny” A. Myers, Jr. of Columbia City and Ronald Myers of New Haven, Indiana; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Saturday at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment in La Crosse Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 P. M. at the funeral home.
