Mrs. Mary Dennis Wells, age 87, of South Hill, died Monday July 12, 2010 in Community Memorial Healthcenter. She was a former Home Health Assistant at Community Memorial Healthcenter and the widow of James Walter Wells, Jr.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her daughter Patsy W. Poythress and her husband Roger of Bracey, two sisters Betty Lou Shell and husband Douglas and Maxine Wells Robinson and husband Joe all of South Hill, two grandchildren Stephanie P. Sullivan and husband Sam of South Hill and Brittney P. Dugger and husband Andrew of Brodnax, three great grandchildren Jada Scott Sullivan, Emmerson Grace Sullivan and Samuel Jobe Sullivan also of South Hill.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home and at all other times at Mrs. Wells home located at 511 Westover Ave., South Hill.
